The spaces of the MyTALE Creative Academy Hotel, home of the Accademia Italiana Apicale per gli Studi e le Ricerche sulla Meta-Elevazione dell’Individuo, open to dialogue with the photographic art of Marcello Leotta, with his search for an aesthetic and perspective perfection in the representation of the existing, towards what man has achieved over the centuries in art and architecture. The rigor of the scene, the observation points to capture emotional visions, here is the stylistic signature that outlines his photographic language. His passion for photography and art diagnostics soon developed, thanks to his work at the Istituto Centrale per il Restauro in Rome. or a period he lives in Brazil where he also meets other expressive photographic languages: training and social reporting. At the MyTALE Marcello Leotta exhibits “Roma nuda e fluorescente” the project originates from a deep emotion, palpable in his words: «It was the beauty of a Rome reinvented in its primary colors and in its skies narrated for centuries, to stimulate and provoke my optical-perceptive system, resulting in a vision of the whole impetuous and seductive». A project that confirms to us the use of photography as an expressive way of narration, leads us into a metaphysical dimension.

The 44 photos of “Roma Nuda e Fluorescente” are in the book with the same title. All the shots were taken between 2007 and 2020. The post production did not affect the original files; it was only altered, significantly, the color element. The images on display are printed on fine art Canson pigment cotton paper and then mounted on aluminium with rear frame.
